These are upwards of $40 each at most nurseries. $15 each for bulk orders. They are the fastest growing conifer on earth. In good conditions they grow upward of 4 feet a year, and 2 inches in trunk diameter. The photo with the dog is of a 25 year old Sequoia that has had its lower branches pruned. If you are seeking screening for privacy or windbreaks they can be planted as close together as six feet. If you are attempting to grow specimen giants, 30 to 60 feet apart would be more appropriate. The foliage is great for floral/Christmas greenery. They prefer sunny, well draining and moist locations and are currently 4 feet tall. They have been root pruned, and are contained in 5 gallon pots, just north of Ladysmith. They grow in all zones around the world (see photos at http://www.giant-sequoia.com/gallery/canada/).
